Colleges and universities often offer scholarships to teenage mothers. For example, the College of DuPage in Illinois offers the Jerry Bradshaw Memorial Scholarship. This award is designed to help single parents enrolled in one of the school`s health science programs. Contact the financial aid office of the institution you would like to attend and ask if it offers financial assistance for teen moms.
Keep in mind that most scholarships and need-based grants require you to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) packet. You will need records of your financial information, including the past year`s taxes and bank statements. Government and academic agencies will use your FAFSA results to determine if you qualify for financial aid.
